Rix Petroleum and Envirostore are fuelling the future of Driffield Agricultural Society by donating a 1300 litre gas oil tank from Envirostore worth nearly £1,000.

Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year? It won’t be long until the nights start drawing in! The first 6 months of 2016 have been fairly remarkable in oil terms with the price of oil doubling in a short space of time.

With the EU referendum now less than 3 weeks away, we are looking at “Brexiting” and the impact it could have on the oil industry?

We have recently taken part in the annual breakfast event for Cancer Research UK. On Friday 11th March we invited all the Rix team to come together for a shared breakfast in our HQ in Hull.

As the temperatures start to drop again, Rix Petroleum is continuing to keep their customers warm, some of them for free. Working with the Leamington Spa Courier, we ran a competition for a lucky winner to receive 500 litres of Heating Oil for the winter.

It says something about the current oil market that the conflagration between Saudi Arabia and Iran at the beginning of the year generated little more than a slight upward blip in prices.

Gedney resident Bridget Hughes will be celebrating a cosy winter thanks to Rix Petroleum's Spalding depot. The lucky winner received 500 litres of heating oil worth around £200 in a competition run through the newspaper.

In 2 weeks, our Agricultural team will be heading to beautiful North Yorkshire to exhibit at YAMS (Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show).
