The Tour De Rix is making great progress
The charity bike ride organised by Rix Petroleum, dubbed the "Tour De Rix" in aid of Macmillan cancer support got off to a flying start from Alnwick in Northumbria on Sunday.
The charity bike ride organised by Rix Petroleum, dubbed the "Tour De Rix" in aid of Macmillan cancer support got off to a flying start from Alnwick in Northumbria on Sunday.
Now in it's third day, the Tour De Rix and the team of 10 riders will arrive in Yorkshire, at Rix Petroleum's head office, based in Hull.
From their, the team who are completing the full 262 mile route, will join fellow colleagues to do a 'short stage' from Hull to Immingham. In total 30 riders will take part in the 22 mile stretch, before the last day of the event, which takes place on Wednesday 18th June, where the riders will depart from Immingham and complete a 58 mile ride to Rix Petroleum's Spalding depot.
So far the charity bike ride has raised an impressive £15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
