Moving house is said to be on of the most stressful events in a person’s life, but Rix Petroleum’s Yorkshire Depot has helped make this process much more enjoyable for West Knapton resident, Robin Stevens! Mr Stevens was the very lucky winner of 500 litres of Heating Oil from Rix Petroleum, in a competition run by the Gazette & Herald.
The lucky announcement for Mr Stevens was made all the sweeter as he had just moved out of his parent’s house in Pickering to his first home, and needed to order Heating Oil for the chilly winter months.
Mechanical engineer, Mr Stevens, 25, said: “I was elated to win, it was great news. It has come just at the right time. I buy the paper quite often and had just happened to see the competition so thought I would give it a try. I didn’t expect to win so when I found out I had I was really pleased.”
The competition involved collecting five tokens from the Gazette & Herald. The winner was selected at random later by the newspaper. Mr Stevens took delivery of his Heating Oil earlier this week, meaning he is fully stocked up for a toasty warm winter.
