It all began in 1999 when Don Cameron of Cameron Balloons helped lift the festival off the ground. Since then, Rix Petroleum has visited the annual event for a number of years, showcasing the heating oil and fuel company’s hot air balloon.
Not only does the festival display spectacular balloon launches, there is an array of family fun to be had, from music, dancers to classic vehicles. Encompassing these attractions with the festival helps maintain the strong sense of community event organisers want to achieve, as it welcomes not just the balloon lovers, but happy-go-lucky families.
The organisers of the balloon festival have put together a short video of this year’s highlights, which you can watch here.
