What is Marine Gas Oil?

Marine gas oil (MGO), often referred to as bunker fuels or by their various fuel type abbreviations (MGO, MDO, IFO, MFO and HFO) are fuels consisting solely of distillates, and usually has a lower sulphur rate, used for small to medium-sized vessels. While comparable to diesel, marine fuels have a high density and unlike HFO, do not require heated storage.
